The spring season of anime approaches and it’s time to fulfill my duties of making predictions of what might look good. Here are a list of what I think looks unique and interesting (my usual criteria for making these picks) for this season, as well some good returns from previous seasons. It’s best to usually give shows a three episode try before making a clear decision to drop or continue. So let’s get to the prediction picks.
Spy x Family
Based the currently huge in popularity manga, this show centers around spy Loid Folger forming a fake family in order to get close to a target. This premise with a good mix of comedy and action is sure to entice viewers.
Otome Game Sekai wa Mob ni Kibishii Sekai desu
Office worker Leon suddenly finds himself transported to a world that is a dating sim. He plans to survive and progress against the other more handsome men by using his knowledge of how dating sims work. This looks like it will give us a different take on the isekai trope and will be a a good watch.
Aharen-san wa Hakarenai
Small and quiet student Reina Aharen and student with a wild imagination (Raidou Matsuboshi) form an odd friendship at school, and comedy ensues. The quirky style of comedy this show displays is sure to give us a lot of
laughs.
Tomodachi Game
After a theft of school funds, a group of friends wake up to find themselves in a game where their survival depends on trusting each other. This interesting take on the survival game genre is likely to have something to peak into.
-Returning shows-
Kaguya-sama wa Kokurasetai: Ultra Romantic
The anime about treating confessing love as a battle, continues onto a third season. This show already did pretty well coming back on it’s second season. So I’m confident this show has what it takes when following up with new episodes this time around.
The Rising of The Shield Hero season 2
Naofumi returns as the hero who specializes in using his shield as his weapon in this interesting series. The previous season lasted quite a few episodes, and did pretty good with each one. So I get a feeling this new season will accomplish similar results.
So those are the picks for this season. Take a peak and happy viewings.
