Yo humanoids! Time to take a look at the upcoming shows of this anime season (yes, it’s been a while). It’s the usual drill of six picks, seeing what unique/interesting, and giving each show a three episode try. Summer is in full swing, so let’s get our viewing going as well.
Vinland Saga
In the era of Vikings, a young boy trains to avenge the death of his father ,and learns the ways of the battle field. A change in the usual historic dramas in anime, this show is set in Viking Europe (instead of samurai sagas). To go with this, the animation looks pretty good, and the action is very well done.
Dr. Stone
Humanity has turned to stone, and a high schooler finds himself awakened in a new world, and a new plan to restart civilization. I like a good mystery, and this looks like it’s gonna have some intruge.
Enn Enn no Shoubotai
Special fire brigades in Tokyo fight combusting humans known as infernals in this show. Anime is known for turning occupations on it’s head, and this looks to make fire fighting into combat and action.
Tsuujou Kougeki ga Zentai Kougeki de 2-kai Kougeki no Okaasan wa Suki desu ka?
After getting caught up in a government scheme, Masato finds himself transported to a game world. A long with him is his mother. A twist on the isekai genre, this looks like it might give us a good laugh with this drop in of motherly care.
Dumbbell Nan Kilo Moteru?
High school girl Sakura Hibiki has a problem with weight gain, and decides to join a local gym in an adventure in exercise and weight lifting. Anime has a history of educating audiences on certain topics , and in a very cool manner. It seems this anime is gonna give us a very cute and funny look at pumping iron.
Sounan desu ka?
A group of high school girls survive a plane crash and find themselves on deserted island. Just like Dumbbell Nan Kilo Moteru? , this anime is gonna give us a detailed lesson on a topic. In this, it’s gonna be about on how to survive on an island. I eagerly await the laughs these girls have in store for us.
So those are the picks for the summer season. As stated before, I usually suggest a three episode watch to see if the show is worth following. Some of these shows have already started, so get to viewing and have fun.
