It’s been 10 years since I used to wake up every day and watch Fuse. They played that one Taking Back Sunday song like 15 times a day. I was all about it. Then, as I got to be an older teen, Fuse started to shift to the dark side of music channels and stopped doing music. God knows what they do now, I’m 24 so who cares. There was one show that kept me tuning in for a while. It was “Steven’s Untitled Rock Show”. And if you question the title, the idea was to have fans vote for a new title as time went on, and of course they kept that.
Why review a show that was about music videos? It’s dated and a bad idea. Call it nostalgia. Hell Mr. Steve Smith is dated. I haven’t seen him in years. He was a VJ. A video jockey. How old is that nonsense? According to his spelling error fueled wikipedia page, he covers music for Chevrolet. What? I miss you Steve.
This show was my go to for great rock. I used to wake up around noon and catch 3 hours of music. “SURS” would give me a solid hour of it. This was before Youtube, Facebook, Twitter or even Myspace. Do kids know Myspace now? GOD I FEEL OLD TODAY! I think I heard my first New Found Glory song on AOL Music. Wow. Old Dave over here. I’M 24! God I had to download Limewire to steal the music too. Nightmares.
Okay, this was a bad idea. Turns out I have almost nothing to say about it. They did cool tie ins with Warped Tour and I loved that. I went to 10 of those in a row. A streak I think that ends this year. Just listen to some pop punk today since I don’t think you can look up the show. Sorry if you read this. No one does that anymore anyway. Read something else. Go on. Do it. Right Scott Hall? Is that esoteric? WCW Nitro for PS1. I can do whatever here.
