Over the week of 24th through 27th of May, I made my annual trip to the local anime convention, FanimeCon. This place is always fun, and I really love it when they let me indulge in my delusional fantasies. Now a little run down on my timeline of events.
Friday:
It took a while to get to the convention since I had to fight some harpies on my way(they really seem to love hanging out on the highway). I eventually made it to the convention and got into my hotel room that I shared with Hentai-Bot(over at the Hyatt). I managed to wash off all the Harpy blood, and go down into the convention floor.
This day also happened to be the same day I was scheduled to do the first ever panel based on my show. It was called An Uncensored Hentai Review. I and my crew at the convention manage to put on a good show to a packed room.
Saturday:
On this day I was scheduled to interview the guests of honor Gilles Poitras(anime scholar) and anime director Hiroyuki Yamaga. The interview with Poitras went well and was very informative. Unfortunately due to my panel scheduling, I had to miss my interview with Yamaga. Luckily
Which leads to my reason for being rushed, and that is the show The Comedy Club at Fanime. A standup comedy show I host in my human disguise. There always good laughs to be had at that long running event.
Sunday:
This day was also included interviews and panels. This time around I was scheduled to interview voice actor Darrel Guilbeau. An awesome guy who gave some excellent answers. I also happen to run into cosplayer Yaya Han(long admired here at FAN). Of course she was a delight to interview.
Today saw yet another edition of comedy. It was the panel titled The Return of The Comedy Club(a one hour short version of the comedy club). Just like the day before, people busted their guts laughing (luckily nobody needed hospital rides).
To top it off, it was the hentai AMVs competition at midnight. I submitted my own entry and tried my best (Baby Got Back just even dirtier).
Monday:
The final day of the convention. Nothing really went on since it was more of a day to say goodbye to all the wonderful humans I have met (especially the ones in revealing cosplay).
Video of the four day event.
So that was the yearly odyssey in anime land I take. Cosplays, dealers room ,Hentai nights and Nostalgia Critic episode screenings are just a few things that made this so enjoyable. Stay tuned for the next few days for those interviews that are coming up.
