Big night tonight as we crown a brand new FCW Heavyweight Champion. Definitely not spoiled by the website either!
Dark music starts us off with shadowed figures coming into the entrance. The lights are out and flashing white as the Ascension well, ascend upon the FCW arena.
Ascension vs Johnny Curtis, Donny Marlow & CJ Parker
Raquel looks like she’s having an orgasm by the ring apron under Conor. At least she’s not Noelle Foley. Very Daffney like is Raquel this week. Man, Johnny Curtis is still in FCW. It’s like Johnny’s been there since Eddie Graham was running the show. We start off with Tito Colon against Johnny Curtis, working on the arm but not getting much. After some running off the the ropes, Johnny gets a knee. Tag to Donny Marlow, who has one of the hardest heads according to Matt Marlaro. If I remember correctly, black people had the hard heads back in the 70s, but they’ve gotten softer, while the Samoans still have that hard head. Tag to CJ who works on the arm. CJ misses a dropkick and Tito gets the tag to Kenneth Cameron with a double Russian leg sweep. They trap CJ in the corner. English uppercut by Kenneth (according to Regal anyway) and in comes Conor O’Brian. Conor beats down CJ in the corner like an animal, and they all tag in for a turn, geez. A revolving door of tags and stomps. Tito gets in and hits a back suplex/german suplex/regular suplex combo. These guys are on fire. CJ tries to get a backslide, but Kenneth rolls out and CJ eventually sneaks under him and gets the tag to Donny Marlow. Big Hurricarana. Donny runs into the post after Kenneth Cameron ducks out of the way. Conor and Tito start roaring as Kenneth hits a jawbreaker, getting the 3 count.
Winners: The Ascension
These guys need to be called up asap, what intensity. James Mitchell would be a good manager for these guys, even better then Ricardo Rodriquez, who seems to be out of the picture.
AJ is seen at the announce table wearing glasses and a Pikachu shirt, as well as a CM Punk-esque blazer. No wonder people love her. I used to be able to name off all 150 Pokemon in order.
Leah West vs Naomi
Leah was on the very first episode of World of Hurt that Lance Storm did in Canada. She was the chick who almost broke her neck doing a flip bump. Byron Saxton comes out next. AJ calls him kind of a diva. Regal was upset, having this bloody muppet with him. Ummm, we have Namoi and Cameron Lynn coming out with him like Flash Funk’s funkettes. It kinda looks odd. It’s like giving the Cryme Tyme gimmick to Shelton Benjiman and Bobby Lashley. Doesn’t quite fit. AJ says they’re dancing is straddling the line of PG. Namoi’s wig fell off. Screw it, normally I don’t like to have pictures be clumped together, but I have to get one of this.
I think it’s kind of amusing as Byron still hasn’t changed. Naomi’s wig falls off. William Regal’s niece looks up to AJ. Leah West goes from a top wrist lock to a headlock. Namoi looks like a sexy fruit roll up according to AJ. Man, she’s much better then Caylee. Naomi puts her knee on the back of Leah’s neck, choking her in the ropes. Leah tries to get some momentum but Namoi hits a clothesline. Naomi tries to run into Leah but she does a hair mare. Big kick to the head by Leah. Odd looking reverse DDT by Leah gets 2. Naomi gains the advantage, goes to the top rope and hit a top rope blockbuster to Leah West, and that’s it.
Winner: Naomi
Cameron and Naomi do their erotic dance moves as Byron attempts to groove with his one arm. AJ has never seen that much spandex in her life. Leah sadly maybe Lance Storm’s “Rosie Lottalove” if you get me.
Briley Pierce is interviewing Brad Maddox. Briley feels it’s time for Maddox to move on from Richie Steamboat. Maddox says Richie hasn’t beaten him. Briley thinks he could beat Brad Maddox. Maddox says from he’s seen, Briley hasn’t hit puberty. From what Pierce has seen, the only part of Maddox that hit puberty was his chin. Geez, does WWE check the ages of these people, I know Jeff Hardy lied and wrestled Razor Ramon at 16, but this is ridiculous. Maddox says he hates his stupid face. He talks about how Briley had a television show that lasted one episode. Maddox takes the mic from Briley, doesn’t talk, but just steals the microphone.
Superstar Profile:
This Week: Peter Orlov
Peter is one of the experienced members of the FCW roster, competing all over the world. He gained his greatest success working in Mexico, first in CMLL and then making a shocking leap over to their biggest rival, AAA. He also gained some national television success competing in the 2008 World X-Cup in TNA. He was apart of the International team, and was one of the most over and successful guys in that team, including wrestling AJ Styles on television. After a tryout match on Smackdown against Alberto Del Rio, Peter Orlov was given a WWE developmental contract and joined FCW after he finished up with AAA. Since then, Orlov has been around FCW here and there, most noticeably as an actor in the Brad Maddox movie, the Referee, as well as being apart of the Brad Maddox reality show. After a recent absence, he returns to action this week, up next.
Calvin Raines vs Peter Orlov
I guess Tito Colon did Calvin’s hair. AJ stays at the commentation station. Peter Orlov is making his return. Peter says he’s been filming a movie. Some hot Russian techno from Mr. Orlov. AJ says Matt Marlaro handcuffed him to the chair. She says her first date was when they were 21. Calvin starts laying the clubs on Orlov’s chest. Calvin does this choke type thing in the corner and follows that up with a Northern Lariat. Also, to show Peter is a movie star, he has “Action” on his tights. Calvin with a half nelson on Orlov. Calvin misses a running splash in the corner and Orlov does a springboard clothesline off the top. Big kick to the back of the head gets a 1 count. Orlov misses a top rope dropkick and Calvin capitalizes by hitting the Relapse (an Alabama Slam variation) and gets the win.
Winner: Calvin Raines
I was hoping to save a picture for the Cossack dance, but you can’t win every time. Sadly, after this match, AJ is no longer commentating. They review the Super 8 elimination tournament and show who all had won their particular matches. Aksana, Richie Steamboat and Maxine are seen in the VIP section for some reason, I know Maxine is the general manager but I’m not sure about Richie and Aksana.
Leo Kruger vs Dean Ambrose vs Damien Sandow vs Husky Harris
A very heel heavy match here. Sandow starts mouthing off to Richie. With all the talent in the match, Damien Sandow is the most experienced. Ambrose and Harris throw their jackets at each other. Harris and Kruger pair off, as well as Ambrose and Sandow. Harris and Ambrose throw Kruger and Sandow into each other headfirst. Both get clotheslined over. Harris turns his back on Ambrose and Ambrose attacks from behind. Ambrose runs into Harris and he hits the STJoe. Ambrose and Harris brawl in the ring and fight in different corners. After a commercial, Sandow throws Ambrose into the steps. Hard action to write about as there are two matches, both on the outside. Sandow and Kruger start double teaming Harris. They roll him in the ring, Sandow goes for a cover and only gets a 1 count. Kruger and Sandow’s team quickly breaks down but starts up just as quickly. Kruger rolls up Sandow to get a one, and Sandow gets his own quick 1 count. Sandow with another roll up but another 1 count. Kruger starts stomping on both Harris and Sandow. Kruger had a pinfall but the referee didn’t see it as he saw Dean Ambrose pull out Damien Sandow.
Kruger chokes Harris in the corner and Damien Sandow runs in and attacks Leo Kruger. Harris tries for a pin, but Sandow stops that and goes to pin Harris. A three way beat down in the ring. Ambrose gets in the ring and starts punching Sandow in the corner. Kruger knocks him off and starts stomping away. Ambrose starts making a comeback, hitting everything that moves. Big clothesline on Sandow and throws him out. Harris does the palm thrusts in the corner followed by a three point stance. He goes to run off the ropes, but Ambrose hits a clothesline, followed by a clothesline by Leo Kruger. Ambrose goes to the top but gets stopped by Kruger. Kruger goes for a superplex, and Husky goes for a powerbomb tower of doom, but Sandow trips him and rams him crotch first in the corner. Kruger goes onto superplex Ambrose, and Sandow runs in to try and pin both men. Ambrose gets dumped out, followed by Sandow but he stays on the apron. Goes for a sunset flip on Kruger, but Kruger stays up. Husky comes in from behind, grabs Sandow by the legs, and slingshots Sandow headfirst into Leo Kruger’s testicle region. Harris hits 3 reverse atomic drops and then hits a pounce like move on all three guys. Harris clotheslines Ambrose out of the ring and starts attacking.
Ambrose falls into Richie Steamboat’s lap. Ambrose grabs a chair from the VIP area which is grabbed by Richie. Richie goes to superkick Ambrose, but Ambrose ducks and Steamboat nails Harris. Ambrose runs back in the ring and fights with Sandow. Sandow gets kneed in the back by Kruger, who runs into Ambrose knocking him out of the ring. Kruger locks in a sleeperhold with both men down. He locks in the Coquina Clutch and Sandow taps.
Winner and NEW Florida Heavyweight Champion, Leo Kruger
Kruger said he was a walking main event, and he proved it by becoming the new Florida Heavyweight Champion
