Big match coming up tonight. A re-match for the FCW 15 Championship, in a match that will be 20 minutes in length instead of the regular 15. And we start that match off right now.
FCW 15 Championship
Seth Rollins (c) vs Dean Ambrose
Both men rush to the ring. The match gets jump started with Rollins quickly going for Ambrose. He still has his shirt on and medal around his neck. Matt Marlaro says Rollins Pearl Harbored him, though he did attack him from the front. Rollins kicks him multiple times in the chest, and continues the offense. Rollins gets knocked to the apron, and Ambrose runs off and smashes him into the guard rail. Rollins beats a count out in the commercial break, and we come back with Ambrose wrapping up Rollins in a Regal stretch. Rollins bites Ambrose’s hand to break the hold. Ambrose continues the attack. Camel Clutch/Rear chin lock combination trying to get the submission at the 7 minute mark. Changes it up to a dragon sleeper then goes for a pin. Ambrose misses a couple of elbows then reverses a back suplex into a pin, but just a 2 count. Rollins gets up on the top rope but is stopped by Ambrose. Big superplex and both men are on the ground at 9 minutes and 30 seconds.
After a commercial break and 11 minutes, still a tie. Big jumping enzugiri by Rollins and both are down. Rollins starts firing up on Ambrose. Ambrose goes for the Midnight Special but Rollins reverses into a pinfall predicament but no go. Rollins goes for a springboard clothesline but Ambrose moves and Rollins lands on his feet, tweaking an ankle. Ambrose goes for the attack on the leg, including locking Rollins in a figure 4 leg lock. Ambrose does a bridge on his neck to add more pressure. Rollins grabs the ropes at the 5 minute warning. Rollins grabs a quick small package, but another kick out. Rollins grabs the ropes to get away from Ambrose, and Rollins gets another desperation enzugiri and a near fall. Ambrose goes for a 10 punch in the corner, but Rollins turns it into a buckle bomb. Rollins goes for Avada Kadavra but Ambrose springs up with a clothesline. He’s now going for the Midnight Special. BUT ROLLINS KICKS OUT! Ambrose is incredibly shocked. After Rollins goes for a roll up, Ambrose rolls out but puts himself in the position to get hit by Avada Kadavra, and it knocks him outside the ring.
Rollins goes to bring him back in the ring, tries for a pin, but Ambrose is too close to the ropes. He pulls him away, but Ambrose still kicks out. Rollins goes up to the top rope, but Ambrose gets up and pushes him off, landing on the guard rail. Ambrose is moving pretty slowly. He goes outside and they are by the announcer table. Face plant by Ambrose on the table. Ambrose goes on top of the table, and goes for the Midnight Special. Both men are fighting on the table. They both fall over on the concrete and the time limit expires.
Draw, but still FCW 15 Champion, Seth Rollins
William Regal says that everyone on Raw, Smackdown and FCW need to step their game up because Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose have set a new standard.
Richie Steamboat vs Brad Maddox
2 weeks ago, Brad Maddox said some very disparaging things to Richie Steamboat. Maddox comes out in a suit flanked by Colin Cassidy and Rodney Thomas. Maddox talks about how he was kicked in the face with an illegal street shoe. He says the kick gave him a concussion. He has these guys to make sure these sucker kicks don’t happen again. Richie then superkicks Maddox again, and gives Thomas one after he went to attack Steamboat. He says Colin Cassidy is the lucky one as he gets to carry them out of here. Cassidy goes to pick up Maddox and gets a superkick for his troubles. They’re also unnamed bodyguards, but I’m guessing their names from their faces on the website.
FCW Superstar Profile: Donny Marlow
Donny Marlow is a second generation wrestler, the son of former WWE Tag Team Champion and WCW Hardcore Champion, Haku. Marlow was trained at the Team 3D wrestling academy, and is one of their lesser known students (sadly 3D is known for training Rob Terry and Rosie Lottalove, so despite being great trainers, they seem to be most known by those terrible students). Marlow debuted a number of years ago in FCW as part of Abraham Washington’s secret service as Agent T (Derrick Bateman was Agent D). Donny had competed with multiple tag team partners, including Jimmy Uso, Brodus Clay and Leakee. But after years of drought in the tag team ranks, Marlow finally won the belts with his newest partner, CJ Parker. Who will defeat these two? Likely two random people on the roster who tagged for the first time, like the last couple of title holders.
We go to Briley Pierce for an interview with CJ Parker and Donny Marlow. They never tagged before until last week. Donny says he’s on cloud 9. It’s ridiculous. Parker says they go together like peas and carrots. Marlow says it’s been a long road for him, and every night they need to work like Champions. But tonight they’re gonna play like Champions.
Matt Marlaro had an opportunity to sit down with Ricardo Rodriquez’s collection of superstars. Ricardo says to Matt that a few years ago, Alberto Del Rio came to an agency that belonged to his father, and Del Rio signed with them. He said what better person to announce him to the ring but Ricardo. He takes credit to guide him to win all his accomplishments, and Alberto is his employee. He says this group is a bunch of amazing superstars and when this Ascension rises to the top, they will take over FCW and WWE.
Up next there is a human cage match, which I guess is like a Lumberjack match. But before that:
Yes! They were in FCW. This week:
Count Franklin Furter
FCW maybe known for it’s dumb names, but this one may take the cake. Count Franklin Furter was from Frankfurt, Germany. A man who was very much loved by his mom according to Byron Saxton. Dusty Rhodes almost lost is on commentary talking about him. Count Furter had his only match on FCW TV against Wes Brisco, who was also making his debut. He told him he had no right to stand in the same ring as the Count. He told Wes Brisco to shut up his mouth, and dis match is going to start right now, despite the fact the bell had rung a minute before his speech. After a 2 minute match, it was over for the Count. Franklin was being considered to be called up pretty early, as Jimmy Yang was asked about who he preferred, him or (Yang was scheduled to work with some of the newer talent and being a veteran, his opinion seemed to matter to people). Yang picked Sheamus, and in mid 2009, Sheamus debuted on ECW, defeating Yang, and the rest is history. Imagine if Yang chose o’l Frank, where we would be today?
Bo Rotundo vs Leo Kruger
Wrestlers surround the ring for this non-title match. Bo Rotundo slams Kruger’s head into all four turnbuckles. Kruger gets a knee to the gut to gain the advantage. Kruger starts stomping him in the corner. Kruger gets backdropped onto the floor, and a bunch of heels go to help him out. They help him back into the ring. Bo grabs a headlock and gets in a few punches. Kruger gets hip tossed to the outside, and the babyfaces throw him back in. Bo Rotundo grabs a headlock, but Kruger hits a shin breaker from the headlock position, and starts working on the leg. Kruger throws him to the outside to the heels, and Bo ends up punching Conor O’Brian. Bo gets back in the ring and Kruger gets back to working on the knee. He tries fighting back but Kruger keeps cutting him off with knee shots. Kruger starts strutting before going for a pin, took too much time there. Another leg lock by Kruger. Bo punches him off, but he seems pretty worn down at the moment. Spinning toe hold, but Kruger kicked to the outside during that move. Conor O’Brian runs into the ring while the ref is distracted by everyone surrounding Leo Kruger. He hits him with a big boot. Kruger gets back into the ring and grabs a sleeper, and it’s good night Irene.
Winner: Leo Kruger
The babyfaces go in to check on Bo Rotundo, as Leo puts himself back in the title hunt.
