FCW 08/21/11

Kruger wants his own banner soon.

Leo Kruger start the show talking about Bo’s banner, and soon it will be his banner to go up. Good thing come to those who wait, and he’s been waiting so long for this moment. The new co-General Managers set up a main event tonight for the Florida Heavyweight Championship. Leo Kruger vs Bo Rotundo. Plus the in ring debut of Silent RAAAAAGEE!!!!! But up first:

FCW Tag Team Championship
Calvin Raines & Big E Langston vs Donny Marlow & CJ Parker

The Champions enter the ring as they usually do. The big thing to notice about the entrance of Donny Marlow and CJ Parker is Donny comes out to his father Haku’s entrance music.

This is CJ’s debut. Donny also has had many opportunities at the tag team title with different partners. Parker gets backed into the corner but fights both guys off and hits Raines with a dropkick. Tag into Marlow, and a couple of double team moves on Raines and Langston who runs in but gets caught. Marlow has been in FCW for 3 years according to Matt. Langston gets a vicious clothesline on Parker and make the tag. They keep the advantage on Parker in their corner. Langston keeping the pressure on Parker and they beat the stuffing out of him in the corner. Langston has him bear hugged. Parker tries to escape to get the tag but gets caught and suplexed. Langston tags in Raines, whips Raines into Parker but Parker gets his boot up. Hot tag to Donny Marlow who comes in like a house of fire. Marlow hits a Samoan Drop but Langston broke up the pin. Another Samoan drop on Langston. Backslide on Raines, and Marlow gets the pin!

Winners and NEW FCW Tag Team Champions, Donny Marlow and CJ Parker.

These two continue the trend of tag teams who win the tag titles their first time teaming up

In FCW, if you team up once, you have a chance. I need to team up with someone at FAN and go for the belts.

YES! They were in FCW
This week: Leroy Morgan

LEEROOOOOOOY MMMMMORRRRRGAAAAN!!!!!!!!!!!

Briley Pierce has been talking about being surprised that he’s still employed. Where would he get the idea that a wrestler who becomes a man who interviews the FCW superstars should be afraid for his job? Well, there are a few reasons. One being this man. Leroy Morgan. He used to have the same job as Briley, a part time wrestler who interviewed everybody else on the side. Leroy though had a history in wrestling, as his grandfather was Leroy McGuirk, a former wrestler and promoter. But that isn’t his only claim to family fame in wrestling. His mother is former WWE ring announcer, Mike McGuirk. Morgan was originally signed and trained by FCW and started off under his name, Max McGuirk, until finally going with Leroy after his grandfather. After losing a number of matches, and becoming an interviewer, Leroy was released in January of 2010.

Briley Pierce is back, and he has a new show. It’s called, On the Box. I’m not sure if he is on a box. Raquel Diaz should be on this show. She doesn’t wrestle very well but you should see her box. Briley runs down a number of angles, including Steamboat/Maddox, the co-General Managers, Rollins and Ambrose and then he goes to footage of a photo shoot that took place earlier, featuring Bo Rotundo and Aksana. It then starts looking like they’re whispering in each other’s ear. He calls them Boksana. Briley talks briefly about Regal and Maxine, and that he only talks about one love affair a week. Well then.

James Bronson w/Byron Saxton vs Leakee

He asks the FCW Universe to put ’em up. Regal is pretty upset at Briley Pierce, the cheeky swine. Jumping knee shot by Leakee followed by a knee lift. William Regal’s phone goes off, what is this, RF Video? Regal says he’s going. Man, thankfully Vince isn’t in his ear, he’d have a fit. Leakee stops, watching Regal walk out of the match. James Bronson takes advantage of the distraction. Byron Saxton runs to the announce booth to take over, he hasn’t done that in awhile. Back to the match, Bronson keeps the advantage, and hits Leakee with a gut wrench suplex. After a kick out, the straps come down ala Jerry Lawler. Bronson shows that it’s going down now with a chin lock. A couple of forearms to the face and he goes for the pin and gets another 2 count. Bronson runs off the ropes, but Leakee jumps up and hits a big forearm. Leakee goes for the pin and gets the win.

Winner: Leakee

Leakee points at Byron Saxton who seems pretty upset. We go over to Briley Pierce who is interviewing Dean Ambrose, who looks like Tweak from South Park. He asks why he’s the bad guy in all of this. Why did he put that medal around his neck when he didn’t beat Ambrose. Jack Brisco and Eddie Graham would be rolling over in their graves knowing he was the FCW 15 Champion. He threw the medal last week because he felt it was garbage. Hey, at least he has a reason to feel that way, unlike when Brian Kendrick threw the X-Division title and said it didn’t mean anything. Seth Rollins though gets upset by that and runs out from the back, attacking Seth Rollins. See, that’s how you defend the honor of your title. Rollins climbs up to the top and jumps outside, landing on security. He misses Ambrose, so Ambrose gets back on the attack, throwing him face first into the steel lighting grid. Byron Saxton feels it’s only a matter of time before Dean Ambrose takes the FCW 15 Title. Now, onto the next match.

Ambrose thinks Jack Brisco and Eddie Graham are turning over in their graves. Maybe a ref bump for the next match.

Mac Hetfield vs Kevin Hackman

First look at Mac Hetfield. His opponent is making his return. Mac grabs the mic and says, yeah yeah yeah, we know who it is, let’s get him out here. Out comes Kevin Hackman aka Andy Lavine. Don’t know why he changed his name, he had this name before, but whatever. It’s not like he was on TV for a couple of months as his real name. Hetfield gets the advantage early and gets Hackman in the corner, but Hackman reverses him and starts hammering on him. Side slam by Hackman. I feel like I’m talking about Gene Hackman from that South Park episode “Crazy Cripples”. It’s Hack-Man. After being put on the ground, Hetfield runs off the ropes, but Hackman quickly gets off the ground and hits a big boot on Hetfield. He goes for the pin and gets the victory.

Winner: Kevin Hackman

Silent RAAAAAAAAGE!!!!

Sold like the Great Power Uti that Kevin Hackman did. What a wimpy entrance theme, he has the Tough Enough music as his entrance. Nothing like Maven’s, that was awesome. Up next, FCW Championship match. But first:

FCW Superstar Profile
This week: Leo Kruger

Kruger from South Africa. Apparently a bunch of pictures of him are on this beefcake website, hilariously enough.

Leo Kruger has really been putting the pressure on Bo Rotundo in his recent hunt for the FCW Florida Heavyweight Championship. Leo started out in South Africa and is a former tag team partner of Justin Gabriel, as the tag team “Pure Juice”. After getting off to a decent start as Ray Leppan, he had a major setback when he injured his neck. After 6 or so months on the shelf, he finally came back and is now looking to become the new FCW Florida Heavyweight Champion (though, hopefully you didn’t look on the FCW website…….).

FCW Florida Heavyweight Championship
Bo Rotundo (c) vs Leo Kruger

Leo Kruger comes out looking determined. Bo Rotundo gets a hug from Aksana and probably has a different motivation. As an aside, anyone remember that Sunday Night Heat episode, where Terri Runnels was having so much sex with Meat, that Meat was completely gassed out before his match with the Godfather and was easily defeated. Oh, Attitude Era. Those were good times. Good thing my Mom didn’t watch wrestling with me when I was 13. Or maybe he’ll be wrestling with a boner like Meat has done in the past. As well as Rene Dupree. And John Cena.

Match starts off slowly with both men sizing each other up, and sharing a pair of arm drags. Interesting move by Rotundo, Kruger has him in a hammerlock, Bo goes outside the ring, wraps up Kruger in the ropes and reverses to get his own hammerlock. Kruger goes to the outside after Bo Rotundo continues his beat down. We see Ricardo Rodriquez with his group of people back there looking on. Both men fight on the apron, and Kruger hits a DDT on the edge of the ring. Kruger gets him back in the ring and gets a two count, but Kruger keeps the pressure on with a front chancery. Snap suplex gets a two count and Kruger continues to go for submissions. Bo tries to fight back but to no avail. Kruger gets Bo on the top rope looking for a superplex but Bo fights back. Bo knocks him down, but Kruger nips up, runs up the ropes and hits a big belly to belly ala Kurt Angle. Bo goes for a backslide, but still no go after Kruger grabs the ropes and hits a big forearm. Bo gets a backdrop on Kruger, and Bo starts to slowly fight back with 3 jaw breakers. Clothesline/bulldog combination, and Bo gets a near fall. Bo signaling for the spear by Kruger side steps him and throws him into the second rope.

Hopefully Bo doesn’t have a broken jaw like Jacques Rougeau had after flying face first into the ropes. Bo gets back on the apron and Kruger gets a sleeper hold on Bo. Bo is stuck in the ropes, and the ref goes for the 5 count. Kruger refuses to let go and gets disqualified.

Winner and STILL FCW Florida Heavyweight Champion, Bo Rotundo.

Kruger chokes out FCW co-GM Norman Smiley, the first time I do believe he was attacked on TV

Leo won’t let go of the hold. Norman Smiley comes out to yell at Kruger and get him to release the hold. After he does, Smiley goes to leave the ring and Kruger grabs a sleeper on Norman Smiley. Maxine then comes out and demands Kruger to release him, or else he’ll be suspended. William Regal is also out with Maxine after getting a phone call to leave.
