The brilliant minds of George Clooney and the Coen brothers unite again to bring us a new dark comedy, Suburbicon, about a big scandal hitting a small, seemingly perfect town. But, everyone knows nothing is really perfect. That’s what makes these stories so damn fun.
In the few films that Clooney has directed, he typically leans towards a more serious tone, but he has a creditable history with the Coen brothers, so this new movie of theirs is sure to be hilarious and not to mention, it has a great cast too. The film’s style looks so similar to O Brother, Where Art Thou? that it brings flashbacks.
Matt Damon (Jason Bourne) is Gardner, the less-sure-of-himself working-man, trying to take care of his son – and of business – and Oscar Isaac stars as a “debt collector” named Roger. Lucky for us, originally scheduled for a release in November, Paramount scheduled Suburbicon to hit theatres October 27 instead.
