With song titles like “Satin Drone” and “Screws in My Head” you know the film’s music is going to be weird af. And, that’s not a bad thing.
Trippy techno beats are what you can expect to hear, but it’s not unusual for the strange apocalyptic feel we’ve seen from The Bad Batch trailers and featurettes we’ve seen so far. Even the dialogue given by The Dream aka Keanu Reeves titled “This Here Is the Bad Batch” in the latest featurette is on the soundtrack and it’s every bit as perfect as the first time we saw it in the video. Keanu just has that voice, ya know?
It’ll be fun to see how Director of TBB and A Girl Walks Home Alone At Night, Ana Lily Amirpour, blends gory action shots and outlandish characters and the weird, but hypnotizing music in the delicious meat-grinder that is this indie film. It’ll be delicious.
