Hailing from Melbourne comes Party Vibez, another local rising thrash metal band who are self described as “the soundtrack to the greatest party ever thrown” and after hearing them I think that summary is pretty apt.
Showing influences such as cross over favourites S.O.D. And D.R.I. and obviously worshiping very heavily at the altar of Municipal Waste, these guys are the epitome of party metal.
From the familiar vocal style of front man Mike to the twin guitar attack of Will and Cam the band shows they have the musical chops to stand with the big boys of the genre.
With the combination of hard hitting thrash and comical subject matter on tracks like the title track “Legends Of Gnarlia,” “Indiana Cones and the Temple of Goon” and their ode to Robocop “Prime Directive”. These guys really set the bar high for their first full length release and clearly only up from here. They have a huge future a head of them if they can keep at this pace.
If you’re looking looking for metal that’s fun and doesn’t take its self to serious while still rocking out hard and fast then this is band is for you. All thrash fans should definitely give these guys a listen and as this album is available for free there’s no reason not to pick it up.
