Welcome to the final edition of the 2013 Film Rave Halloween Special! This week’s double feature is tenously linked (a la Hammicus), with the tying theme being flesh. The first film is “I Walked with a Zombie” and the second is “Flesh for Frankenstein”. The zombies in the first film don’t crave flesh though, so the tenous link is pretty piss poor. Oh well. It’s Halloween, just enjoy it!
What I didn’t enjoy was this week’s induction into the Dungeon of Horrors, “A Halloween Puppy”. It’s a David DeCoteau film, which means not much happens and Eric Roberts & Kristine DeBell are wasted. Even the Halloween vibe is lousy. Sure, there’s black magic and a few decorations here and there, but nothing substantial. Just tired material.
I also go over recent viewings, including “The Shock Labyrinth”, “The Midnight Hour”, “The Clown Murders”, “Hauntedween”, “Bay of Blood” & “Gallowwalkers”. I also give a shout out to Chris Jericho’s new web show, “But I’m Chris Jericho!”
