Welcome to the first edition of five of the 2013 Film Rave Halloween Special! It’s each week, I’ll be taking a look at films from Time Out London’s 100 Best Horror Films list that I haven’t seen. The inaugural edition is a vampire double feature, covering 1932’s “Vampyr” & 1978’s “Martin”. Also getting the vampire treatment is the Cinemasochist’s Dungeon of Horrors, with “Vampire Dog” being inducted. It’s the first in the Kiddie Horror month for this section and it has Norm MacDonald voicing the titular vampire dog & seeming very bored by it. I can relate.
I also discuss recent viewings, including “Rolling Vengeance”, “Life of Pi”, “The Bling Ring”, “The Little Girl Who Lives Down the Lane”, “World War Z”, “Blood Runs Cold”, “The Black Hole” & “Alvin & the Chipmunks Meet Frankenstein”.
Enjoy!
