So humans, a new anime season is upon us. Spring is here, and with it brings many new anime shows to watch. Time to make some prediction picks of the anime I think might possibly be of interest. Now if you’re not familiar with the way I pick them, I like seeing whatever looks unique and out of the ordinary. In addition I separate them based on whether they are based in a high school setting (because that’s how so many of them are).
The Main Picks!
Shingeki no Kyojin
Now this one I’ve been looking forward just from reading a tiny bit of the manga(Also known as Attack on Titan). Humans living behind large walls live under the fear of being attacked by giants(or titans as they called). A young man swears vengeance for his mother death, and wants to kill every last giant.
Not gonna lie, I am really looking forward to this one. I must resist temptation and not read ahead in the manga.
Suisei No Gargantia
Another anime featuring humans trying to survive(geez, you guys are so fragile). During a battle, a young lieutenant crosses through a distortion in time and space and finds himself on Earth that has most of the population living out in the sea.
The fact that the premise takes a while to explain already caught my attention(I actually shortened here). And the fact that it’s produced by Production IG is also something to indicate it’s worth a look.
Dansai Bunri no Crime Edge
This series here involves a boy who is absolutely obsessed with cutting people’s hair. He meets a girl with a curse on her hair and it looks like a lot of magical and strange stuff is gonna happen.
This looks like a good, weird premise to perk my attention(and it also has a nice head of hair).
Time for School!
Aiura
Much like Seinfeld , this show is about nothing. Seriously, the description says it’s about the lives of girls with zero motivation, and their daily lives of nothing happening.
I gotta say, a show based on slackers intrigues me. I really want to see how an anime dedicated to the lazy person in all of us will turn out.
Aku no Hana
This anime involves teen boy impulsively stealing a girls gym clothes and some black-male. It seems like it’s gonna be an intriguing show and has the technique of rotoscoping to its animation style. Whether that’s a good or bad thing for this show, we’ll see.
Returning For More!
Oreimo
Ore no Imouto ga Konnani Kawaii Wake ga Nai(Or My Little Sister Can’t Be This Cute) returns for a second season. We get to see the further adventures of the eroge loving siblings of Kyousuke and Kirino.
Although personally, I’m mostly here to see the return of Kuroneko.
So there you have my predictions for the spring of 2013. Let’s hope some of these predictions turn out correct (Am I ever wrong?) Some of these shows have already aired their first episode, so time to get watching.
