Hello folks! This week is my first edition of the show, writing on my MacBook Air. How fabulous. I found the print screen button on the mac, and maybe my iPhoto thingy will help me edit it. Quite the computer programmer I am. We are joined by Byron Saxton and Chris Russo. Good thing he’s on commentary instead of booking. Richie Steamboat vs Seth Rollins is the main event, but we go to Caylee Turner. I originally called her Caylee Pierce, I think I was thinking of someone else.
FCW 15 Championship
Damien Sandow © vs Dean Ambrose
Two heels, should be an interesting contest between the two. Lock up and the feeling out process shows itself at the beginning. Ambrose gets a hammer lock and breaks clean, surprisingly. Ambrose escapes a headlock and says he’s a god of wrestling. Both men start trading hands with Ambrose getting the advantage. Ambrose rubs his forearm into Sandow’s face, then rubs it on the ropes and starts going to work with the nails to the back. That didn’t take long. Sandow gets whipped into the ropes, catches himself and boots Ambrose. Sandow starts going to work grinding his knee into the face of Mr. Ambrose. Quick 1 count but Ambrose gets out and regains the advantage and starts the mounted punches. Ambrose chokes Sandow into the corner with his boot. Ambrose rams Sandow’s head into two turnbuckle corners. Ambrose starts mouthing off to him and Sandow boots him while on the ground. Ambrose gets Sandow into the corner and starts the 10 punches, but Sandow keeps pushing him out. Sandow gains the advantage and whips him into the ropes and hitting a knee in the gut. Backdrop by Ambrose and Sandow is clotheslined out of the ring. Ambrose takes his time but Sandow gets a hold of him, then starts whipping Ambrose back and forth from the guardrail and the apron. Ambrose struggles to get back into the ring. He gets on the apron and slaps Sandow. Sandow shoved him off the apron and into the guard rail. Ambrose goes outside to get him and hits a swinging neck breaker, getting his first pinfall.
We come back from the break with a modified chicken wing applied on Ambrose. Ambrose starts fighting back counting down to the 5 minute mark. He gains the advantage with punches and Sandow runs and chop blocks the knee. Sandow starts working him in the corner, and then puts a full nelson on Ambrose and starts slamming his head into the turnbuckle, with the move on. He gestures at Sandow to give him more. He keeps pounding away at him, but Ambrose pounds his fist and wants more. Ambrose starts firing back. He’s Deaning Up! Ambrose throws Sandow outside the ring and he whips Sandow into the apron and the guardrail, just like earlier. He follows that up by throwing Sandow into the steps. He throws him back into the ring and tries to lock in the Regal stretch but Sandow gets to the ropes. He pulls him back and keeps going back for the move, with almost 2 minutes left. Ambrose goes for the Midnight Special, but Sandow escapes. He goes for it again but Sandow grabs the ropes. Sandow goes to the top rope but he’s stopped by Ambrose. Ambrose gets shoved off while going to the top. Sandow unties the turnbuckle, and goes to shove Ambrose into the corner. Ambrose blocks and throws Sandow into the steel. Ambrose doesn’t seem to care, as he throws him in again. The time runs out.
Winner and STILL FCW 15 Champion, 3-0, Damien Sandow.
He stops caring at the end. He continues to bash Sandow’s head into the exposed buckle. Ambrose grabs the medal and puts it on Sandow, followed up by locking in the Regal stretch (which Russo calls the bow and arrow, not only naming the move wrong but not getting the angle between him and Regal). The refs pull him off and he puts the tag rope in his mouth. He says he doesn’t know the rules.
FCW Divas Championship
Audrey Marie © vs Naomi
Naomi has a yellow body suit and it seems she dropped the “Black Woman on Maury” gimmick. She’s facing Softcore Country, Audrey Marie. She’s wearing chaps. Let’s see if she’s as good as Shawn Michaels. Shawn’s my all time favourite wrestler, you need to be a big deal to wear chaps. Or she’s like Justin “Hawk” Bradshaw. Anyone remember that? Or Stan Hanson for the really older fans, I’m only 25. Headlock takeover by Naomi, getting a quick 1 count. Audrey mistakes and hits an arm drag. Naomi hits another arm drag, certainly not like The Dragon. Audrey whipped into the corner, Naomi runs in and Audrey lands a “nifty” roll up according to Russo. Audrey then whips Naomi into the corner (because it worked so well for Naomi, she might as well do it). Naomi jumps over Audrey and hits a Marc Mero style pin with the legs. Goes from a headlock into a hammerlock does Naomi, but that’s reversed into a hammerlock, then into a headlock. Hmm. Namoi whips her into the rope. Naomi misses a kick, an odd chain of non moves and mess ups afterwards that would make Sara Del Rey cry if she saw it. Audrey locks in a Dragon Sleeper. Changes into a face lock. Naomi hits some forearms, but Audrey gets a knee into the gut, getting a 2 count. Audrey hits a jumping ass move. Naomi fights back with a snap mare. She gets in an enzugiri, Audrey runs into her but Naomi dodges and hits a dropkick. More running into the ropes, followed up by a Naomi spin kick. Whip into the turnbuckle, Audrey jumps on the second turnbuckle, goes for a cross body, but that’s reversed. Lots of pinball attempts by both women. Naomi gets her up for a suplex but Audrey reverses and hits an awful looking Round Up, which is her finish and that gets the win.
Winner and STILL FCW Divas Champion, Audrey Marie.
My goodness.
Leakee vs Antonio Cesaro
Leakee is like, a year in the business, and he’s Ric Flair compared to the previous competitors. His opponent is wearing a beret! He gives his beret to Caylee Turner and wants her to take good care of it. She’s not very good at wrestling, but if she takes care of Antonio’s beret, who knows what heights she could reach. Some good grappling at the beginning and Leakee goes right for the arm. Antonio goes for a test of strength, but grabs the arm and locks in a top wrist lock. A wrestling master goes to work. Leakee goes for the head with his legs but gets not success. Leakee kips up and hits a wrist lock of his own, followed by an arm bar. Cesaro gets the ropes and nails Leakee when he goes to break. Back to the arm for Cesaro on Leakee, getting his leg in front of the neck. Cesaro goes to whip Leakee into the ropes but Leakee grabs the arm and goes to work on that. Cesaro regains the advantage with his vicious European Uppercut. Leakee fights back and hits a big flying forearm. Splash into the corner and a clothesline by Leakee. Leakee goes for a bulldog but Cesaro throws him off. Leakee goes for springboard cross body, misses, and Cesaro gets a cradle and hooks the tights, for the win.
Winner: Antonio Cesaro
Antonio says he’s a winner at life.
Richie Steamboat vs Seth Rollins
Two former tag team partners and champions going against each other. Husky Harris said he was gonna be here, according to the commentators, but he hasn’t arrived yet. To make it more of a surprise, it would be good to like, say it once, then have him come out. Like when Edge cashed in Money in the Bank the first time. He faced Flair in the first match, and didn’t bring up him as Money in the Bank holder until the end. Byron Saxton calls Richie Steamboat “Edgy”. Back and forth grappling at the beginning, Rollins gaining the advantage with a waist lock. Rollins goes for Avada Kadavra and Rollins gets out of the way quickly. Steamboat locks in a strong headlock and keeps it on tight, despite Rollins’ attempts to throw him off. Rollins tries to suplex him off but Steamboat cross body’s and gets a 1 count. Big slam by Steamboat followed by a falling chop, and then into a chin lock. Keeping it slower then usual is Mr. Steamboat. Rollins fights up, tries to whip Steamboat into the turnbuckle, but Steamboat reverses it and runs him hard into the buckle. Steamboat gets a 2 count from that. Back into the chin lock. He’s watching a lot of Randy Orton tapes. Rollins gets a jawbreaker and gives him a flatliner headfirst into the second turnbuckle. Rollins getting a few shots in followed by a flying forearm. Rollins does a tornado suplex from the corner and starts firing up. He misses the driving stomp into the mat. Steamboat gets thrown to the outside and Rollins hits a big suicide dive!
After the commercial break, Rollins and Steamboat are in the corner on the second turnbuckle. Rollins hits a big superplex from the top. Holy Toledo says Russo. Rollins goes for a power bomb but Richie punches away at him and takes him down for a 2 count. Maxine is shown in the control room, and they show the cameras outside the FCW arena. They might as well have a big flashing sign at the top of the screen that says “Husky Harris Run In”. Steamboat starts punching Rollins in the corner, brags about it a bit, which leads to Rollins grabbing him and hitting him with a buckle bomb. 2 count for Rollins. Rollins heads to the outside and goes for a springboard clothesline, but Steamboat gets out of the way. He lands hard on his left leg and Steamboat starts kicking his leg out of his leg. Russo is saying Husky is here. He slams his truck door into security, and it looks like he has a bull rope, without the cowbell. He nails Seth and then starts brawling with Richie Steamboat.
No Contest
Maxine freaks out, but everyone is pounding the mat, wanting a fight. Chris Russo says we’re out of time. Big brawl and the end and we’re out of time. It’s WCW all over again. It’s a pier 6 brawl ending the show this week.
