Byron Saxton and Matt Marlaro start out the show announcing the big main event between Dean Ambrose and William Regal. Should be a very interesting match. They go to the aftermath of last week and what happened off the air, Ambrose grabs a camera man and wants to get very up close to give his comments. Before he could get much out, William Regal jumps him and starts attacking him. After being separated by referees and wrestlers, Ambrose says, “is that the hardest you can hit?” We go to William Regal trying to comment. It’s a very strange thing when someone gets uncomfortable with oneself. He wipes a tear off, which he calls a tear of joy. He was everybody’s entertainment and go to guy. He sees a kindred spirit in Ambrose. Regal is the kind of person who would pull someone out of a bar he didn’t like and set fire to them. And while everyone would run away, Ambrose would warm his hands up close to the fire. He was the most diabolical man in the history of this business. His mind works as a villain. While talking, Ambrose runs at him and attacks Regal himself. Geez, this stuff should be on WWE TV.
We go back to the commentators, and Saxton talks about not having that intensity in William Regal in such a long time. We go back to Maxine talking to the referees about what Husky Harris and Richie Steamboat did to the one last week, and they are not in the building. She requests Leo Kruger’s presence. He says his banner is a little small, and he will be defending his FCW Championship next week.
Mr. Antonio Cesaro vs CJ Parker
A Cesaro chant breaks out, and Mr. Cesaro gets the referee to disrobe him. His opponent is a wild and energetic CJ Parker, and this will be his first match in singles competition. Cesaro gets Parker in the corner and starts the attack early. The ref breaks it up, and CJ starts to capitalize. He whips Cesaro into the ropes and goes for a dropkick, but Cesaro grabs the ropes. He just chucks Parker to the outside and attacks him out there. He throws him back in and gets a 2 count. Vicious chin lock, usually a chin lock is pretty basic, but Cesaro is just throwing him around in the chin lock. CJ starts fighting back, but it’s futile. Whips him into the ropes and hits a headbutt to the gut, and yet another pinfall attempt. Cesaro does a dead-lift gut wrench suplex which gets another near fall. CJ gets in a sunset flip himself but Cesaro kicks out of that, and walks into a vicious clothesline. Lots of pinfall attempts by Cesaro. He misses an elbow drop, and CJ starts getting some offense in. Parker starts to fire up with hits off of the ropes. Double knees to the chest of Cesaro and he goes for a pin, but Cesaro is in the ropes. Lots of pinfall attempts. Parker goes for a springboard move from the outside but loses his footing. Cesaro capitalizes and gets him back in the ring, and throws him into the ropes to hit the Swiss Death. Cesaro goes for the pin and gets the victory.
Winner: Mr. Antonio Cesaro
Titus O’Neil and Percy Watson wear think pink shirts supporting breast cancer awareness as they come to the ring for their next match. They also get a pink name band during their entrance. Brad Maddox comes out and there’s a ton of smoke in his entrance, which he’s not too impressed with. He grabs the mic from Eden Stiles. One of the characteristics of great athletes is recognizing the suckiness in other. Is that a word? He wants to help someone from not sucking. He says this guy is 14 years old. Percy Watson starts doing sit ups, and Maddox says he needs them. He calls for Briley Pierce. He says he has no time to get dressed, as he was ringside. So, Briley Pierce is gonna compete in his suit.
Titus O’Neil & Percy Watson vs Brad Maddox & Briley Pierce
Briley goes for a quick lock up, but backs off and goes for a tag, to which Maddox does not tag. Pierce takes a shoulder tackle, and Briley is still wanting to tag in, but it’s no go. Briley takes his shirt and tie off. Briley rips his shirt off, which gets a scream from a girl in the crowd. Percy gets a big dropkick on Pierce, and once again, wants to tag out. Maddox finally tags himself in. Maddox gets a boot in and hesitates for a second and Watson gives him his own boot. Percy gets a dropkick on Maddox and he goes back in the corner. Are we in Tampa or Memphis? Briley wants to tag back in. And he wants Titus to tag in as well! We have a woof woof woof woof *clap clap clap clap clap* for the first time ever. Huge size different. Briley goes for a handshake. Titus then stomps the mat. Titus shakes his hand and boots him. What a heel move! Clash of the Titus on Briley gets the victory.
Winners: Titus O’Neil & Percy Watson
Percy and Titus go to shake hands with Brad Maddox and Maddox isn’t impressed.
Video of Leo Kruger from a few weeks ago. Leo Kruger’s banner replaced Lucky Cannon’s as well, which makes sense as he’s no longer in WWE period.
Erick Rowan vs Abraham Washington
Erick has weird teeth. Almost like a chipmunk. Byron Saxton compliments Abe, despite their past. I do like that they don’t forget about rivalries in FCW. Odd one legged dropkick by Abe. Rowan catches Abe and hits a fallaway slam. Erick Rowan likes to eat raw catfish and mushrooms according to Byron Saxton. Bearhug into a slam gets a 2 count. Rowan continues the punishment on Abe. Rowan locks in a bearhug and swings him around like a rag doll. Abe tries to fight back with running shoulder blocks, but Rowan hits a big sidewalk slam. Rowan grabs Abe by the throat while he’s on the ground, but Abe locks his arm in a triangle choke, and gets a tap out.
Winner: Abraham Washington
James Bronson runs in and hits a vicious arm lock on Washington. I know they are tag team partners, well, they just said on the commentary they were former tag team partners.
Dean Ambrose vs William Regal
It’s sad that there was just a one week build, this is a pay per view type match, and I have a feeling Ambrose is gonna get called up pretty soon. Regal chant from the crowd. Matt Marlaro says that Regal was one of his favourites growing up. Regal offers his hand for a handshake, and Dean Ambrose is almost disgusted by that. Stalling at the start before we get our first lock up. Both men get backed up in the corner after two lock ups. Regal starts putting the boots to Ambrose while he’s in the corner behind the referee’s back. Vicious overhand chops by Regal followed by a forearm. Regal with a vicious assault to the face. Ambrose starts working on the arm to gain the advantage, but Regal fights back by grabbing Ambrose’s face. Ambrose seems to have some sound strategy now. Regal rolls to the outside and trips up Ambrose when he follows him out. Regal starts working on his shoulder after the commercial break after he was tripped up. Regal now bending the fingers, my goodness.
Regal starts hitting some Daniel Bryan-esque elbows to the face, and now Regal goes back to the arm. Ambrose tries fighting back, but Regal goes back after the arm. Regal puts Ambrose’s hand into the turnbuckle pad and starts pulling on it against the steel. “Who does that?” asks Byron Saxton. I normally don’t take multiple pictures, but I’ve never seen that before.
As the referee fixes the turnbuckle, Ambrose rakes the eyes and hits a clothesline. His arm is dangling too. Ambrose grinds his forearm across the nose of Regal, and then hits an elbow drop, getting a two count. Regal dives at Ambrose’s leg with his own leg, but Ambrose is able to escape. Ambrose wraps a leg lock around the head, trying to take Regal out of this match. Regal rolls over, and is able to escape and attempt to lock in the Regal stretch. Ambrose grabs the ropes and then elbows Regal in the eye. Vicious fighting between the two. Regal gains the advantage and gets Ambrose to the outside. He takes Ambrose’s limp arm, puts it behind the steps and kicks the steps into the post. Ambrose’s arm is stuck between the steps. Ambrose rolls back in the ring, looking for more. Regal hits crossfaces across Ambrose’s nose. He puts his hand over the nose and mouth to stop his breathing, and Ambrose asks for more.
A pair of exploder suplexes by Regal gets a two count, but Regal keeps going for pins. Ambrose is smiling. Ambrose gets to his knees, and Regal hits the knee trembler, finally getting the three count.
Winner: William Regal
What a match, match of the month on any wrestling show.
