Big match tonight as the main event features Husky Harris vs Leo Kruger. We also have HOWARD FINKEL doing ring announcing! We st art off with Ricardo Rodriquez, who comes out in his Chimaera gear. Rico says that The Fink is no longer irrelevant. Only Ricardo is worthy to announce his name. He announces his name in Spanish, and of course I can’t really understand that. I’m not sure if he’s still with the Ascension.
Ricardo Rodriquez vs Leakee
It looked like Leakee was almost marking out having been announced to the ring by Howard Finkel. Quick headlock by Leakee and keeps Ricardo in that for a bit. Rico has these tassels on his pants. Leakee misses an elbow drop and Rico gets in a boot for the advantage. Beautiful kick springing off the turnbuckle, but only gets two. Leakee tries to fight back but to no avail. Big neckbreaker gets a two count. Leakee gets in a jawbreaker but Ricardo retaliates with a big dropkick. Leakee tries to go for the Samoan drop but is stopped. Rico is thrown into the turnbuckle and slides to his back and hits a kick. Leakee takes the advantage away with a big clothesline, followed by a knee lift. Leakee goes for the Samoan drop, and Rico holds onto the ropes and pulls himself off. Rico runs to the ropes to do a springboard move, but Leakee catches him with a flying forearm, and that gets the 3 count.
Winner: Leakee
Naomi & Cameron Lynn vs Kaitlyn and Caylee Turner
Byron is trying to guide the careers of Naomi and Cameron but maybe having a difficult time dealing with them. He says that two divas are going to come down the aisle and get hurt. Naomi then grabs the mic from Byron and goes into her Maury guest shtick which gets an eye roll from Saxton. Kaitlyn and Caylee start off, this should be like the Rock n’ Roll Express vs the Midnight Express. Kaitlyn has a headlock and when she’s pushed off, he grabs the wig off of Cameron. Tag into Naomi who Matt tries to put over Naomi as a great competitor, first Divas Champion, but this gimmick seems so far removed. Whip into the turnbuckle by Kaitlyn but Cameron distracts her and Naomi gets up and throws her into the post. They get her back into the heel corner and Cameron gets the tag. An arm submission type move on Kaitlyn before Cameron gets the tag back in. Naomi wearing an all grey body suit. Whip into the corner and Kaitlyn jumps to the middle rope and then jumps backwards. Hot tag to the chick who injured Ivelese on Tough Enough. Dropkick to the chest followed up by a Wheelbarrow bulldog and Caylee gets two after Cameron breaks it up. Naomi goes for a kick but Caylee blocks and gets a roll up for a two count. Cameron grabs the leg for a distraction and Naomi hits a jumping heel kick getting the win.
Winners: Naomi & Cameron Lynn
We go to Briley Pierce with Richie Steamboat, talking about Richie superkicking Husky Harris in the face. Richie says the first time was an accident, but the second, he saw Aksana screaming and Husky standing over her. Richie says he was raised to respect women, meaning he will never be going to TNA. Aksana is a woman, and he protected her. Aksana jumps in and leaves with Richie on her arm.
We have an Ascension promo, the one from a few weeks ago with the Enter Sandman prayer deal. Ascension prays while you sleep. A glowing orb is then seen in the hand of Kenneth Cameron for some reason. Not quite sure what that symbolizes.
Erick Rowan vs Big E Langston
Regal says he always knew Richie was no good, even from when he was a little child. He can tell the bad ones when they’re young. Erick Rowan is taking on Big E Langston, who I think is a babyface now. He’s announced as the National Power lifting Champion, and I’ve brought up the fact he hasn’t lifted as much as Mark Henry. Two lock ups and, that’s about it. Nope, three lock ups. Now Langston is hitting Rowan with headbutts to the chest. Punches back and forth. A modern day Ted Arcidi vs Tony Atlas. Langston with his infamous shoulder blocks in the corner. Slow motion whip into the corner and Big E misses a shoulder block into the post. Obviously, Erick had that scouted, saying that’s all Big E seems to do. Rowan with a bear hug but Langston fights out. Langston with his own bear hug. My god, what a war. Shawn Michaels and Bret Hart, eat your hearts out. Fall away slam followed by Rowan, along with a splash but Langston gets the knees up. Langston hits a belly to belly and mercifully, it’s over.
Winner: Big E Langston
Briley Pierce is now ON THE BOX. They go to something done last week with Buddy from Buddy’s Home Furnishings (you can tell this is a local tv show folks). So he punches Brad Maddox and Maddox does a Flair flop and he dances over him. Buddy then shows up in FCW, and dances his way over to Briley. He pulls the mask off and reveals that it’s Brad Maddox. Briley says Brad punched himself in the face. Brad Maddox says he found the Buddy head, clothes and sweater and found it in Briley’s duffle bag. Man, who does he think he is, Hardcore Holly? He says that Briley has a match next week against Brad Maddox.
Mike Dalton vs Mr. Antonio Cesaro
Mike is from Daytona Beach, Florida all of a sudden, not from Canada. Maybe the bookers are taking Hogan’s advice, a big star can’t be from Canada. I forget where he’s from in Canada and I don’t want to say Calgary because he was trained there. I’m planning on training there and I never want to be thought of as being from Calgary. The fact I was born in Alberta is a great shame I must live with. Antonio comes out to Dean Malenko’s music, and he comes out in his Swiss ring jacket. He has AC on his tights instead of CC from a few weeks ago so I’m glad they got him that. I’m gonna veer off, but I felt one reason they would change his name is Vince is such a bad speller, but Antonio Cesaro isn’t the easiest name to spell either. Excuse me, MR. Antonio Cesaro. William Regal says he’s the only thing that’s ever come out of Switzerland that has ever had any aggression. Back and forth lock ups start up, and Cesaro uses his forehead to rake across the eyes of Dalton. Cravat into a wristlock. Dalton does an Owen Hart escape out of that but gets caught back in the clutches of Cesaro. HEY by Cesaro. Goes for another headlock but Dalton switches to a hammerlock. Elbow in the face by Cesaro escapes, but Dalton looks to get back in a headlock quickly. Dalton ends up going off the ropes looking for a cross body, but Cesaro catches him in mid air and hits him with a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker. Cesaro gets a vicious face lock in while having his knee into the back. He then pulls back on the arms, vicious offense. Cesaro continues working on the back but Dalton sneaks in a quick two count. Quick series of reversals and Dalton starts landing a number of kicks in. Dalton goes off the ropes but Cesaro pushes him up and hits a big Pop-Up European. Dalton is pretty much dead, but Cesaro picks him up and hits the Ricola Bomb and gets the victory.
Winner: Antonio Cesaro
William Regal is jealous of that uppercut. Switzerland has now been redeemed due to being a country full of cowards.
We are joined now by Percy Watson and Titus O’Neil. Percy starts singing reunited. They should sing DON’T MAKE ME PUT THIS WOOD ON YA! They put each other over. Next week they take on Rick Victor and Jinder Mahal. Their goal is to be WWE Tag Team Champions. Up next, is our Main Event.
Florida Heavyweight Championship
Leo Kruger (c) vs Husky Harris
Man, Fink makes matches sound important. He could make watching paint dry sound important. Richie Steamboat, Aksana and Maxine are in the VIP section watching this match. Leo gets in the first bit of offense, but Husky quickly retaliates. A lot of clubbering at the start. Big body slam by Husky and Kruger rolls to the outside. Big running Avalanche onto Kruger while he’s standing against the post. During the commercial, we see another Ascension promo, the same as one of their first ones, the 5th Dimension one. Kruger is seen after the commercial going for some pinfalls but to no avail. Kruger keeps on the attack with numerous holds, strikes and repeated pinfall attempts. Husky starts to fight back in the corner but Kruger stops him with a big European uppercut (or African uppercut). He runs towards Husky and Husky hits a clothesline, starting to gain the advantage. Palm thrusts into a corner followed by an Avalanche. Kruger grabs hold of a sleeper but Husky quickly breaks it. Urinage by Harris and he gets a near fall. Kruger holds onto the ring apron to save himself. When he gets to his feet, Harris pushes him into the referee. Steamboat goes to help get the referee up, but Harris attacks Steamboat due to superkicks he’s gotten in recent weeks. Kruger takes advantage by locking in a sleeper, and Husky taps out.
Winner and STILL Florida Heavyweight Champion, Leo Kruger.
Aksana and Steamboat look on as Leo Kruger shows off the belt
