We start out this episode with Steve Kiern in front of the American Flag talking about this day being the anniversary of 9/11. Pretty classy stuff. They also have a new looking intro. A lot less of the talent are in it though, it seems pretty focused on just a few people. I will say that FCW is booked pretty well, in that while they have a big roster, they only use a few people. Big match for tonight as Bo Rotundo defends the FCW Heavyweight Title against Leo Kruger. They quickly go to the back where Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose are in a pull apart and trying to fight each other before their contract signing tonight. But first up.
Donny Marlow & CJ Parker vs James Bronson & Erick Rowen
CJ Parker comes out with some colourful tights, pretty impressive. Matt Marlaro calls Donny Marlow D Marlow. WUT DA HULE! Their opponents come out to Kevin Thorn’s old theme from ECW. See, these two could be managed by James Mitchell if they bring them in. Big size difference between Rowen and Marlow who start it out. CJ makes a blind tag and a big double dropkick. They both muscle up Bronson, who makes the tag, for a big slam and a double headbutt. Quick tag back into Marlow. He gets thrown outside and Rowen starts beating him down outside. Quick tags in and out from both teams here, but it seems like the heels have isolated Donny Marlow. They beat down Marlow in the corner slinging him into the corner and throwing each other into him. Marlow sneaks behind Rowen and tries to pull him down for a pin but Rowen stays on his feet. He goes to hit the jumping sit, but misses and Marlow makes the tag. CJ Parker comes in like a house of fire as Bronson gets tagged in. Parker gets caught though by Bronson and Rowen runs in for a clothesline/STO combination, and Bronson gets the pin from that.
Winners: James Bronson & Erick Rowen
Richie Steamboat vs Brad Maddox
Steamboat is coming in after a beat down last week from Brad Maddox and his goons. Maddox feels that first generation is better then second. Maddox goes for a bunch of chops, but misses every time and Richie lands his own chops. Steamboat and Maddox knock heads, but get back up from that quickly. Steamboat goes for a quick superkick but that’s blocked. Maddox goes outside and grabs the leg hurting it a bit, but Steamboat maintains the advantage. Sunset flip by Maddox but Steamboat rolls out, and Maddox catches him with a low dropkick. Maddox working on the leg so he doesn’t get a kick to the face again. Suplex by Maddox gets a nearfall. Richie tries to fight back with a chinlock while he’s on the ground but Maddox keeps hitting the leg. Maddox puts Richie in the famous Tree of Joey Lawerence. The tree of WOAH! He runs towards Steamboat but Steamboat gets out of the Tree of Joey Lawerence and Maddox falls to the outside. When he gets back in, Steamboat goes for the superkick, but his leg gives out. Maddox hits a sunset flip, throwing Steamboat into the corner. He gets out of the corner and starts jaw jacking with the referee. When he goes back, Steamboat nails him with a superkick, and Steamboat gets the pin.
Winner: Richie Steamboat.
Steamboat holds his knee and limps out of the ring after nailing Brad Maddox right in the moosh, as Vince McMahon would say.
Norman Smiley is with Briley Pierce. He says he’s so glad he still works here, because he gets to see a big match between Bo Rotundo and Leo Kruger. Norman is going to be the guest referee in the match and will call it down the middle. May the best man win he says. His music hits and he gives us the big wiggle!
Dean Ambrose is in the run sitting down at a table waiting for Seth Rollins to come out and sign a contract. He’s flanked by a good chunk roster, as they’re there to keep Ambrose and Rollins for brawling. A faint ROH chant can be heard when Rollins gets in the ring. Maxine says that for the first time ever, the FCW 15s Champion will be defended in a 30 minute match. I type ’em as they say ’em folks. Ambrose looking closely at the paper, like he has vision problems. What a weird dude that Ambrose is. Byron Saxton says there’s never been a 30 minute match in FCW history, completely forgetting the 30 minute Iron Man match between Justin Gabriel and Heath Slater. Matt Marlaro saves him, saying not for the FCW 15 Championship there hasn’t. I do believe Matt is part of the booking team, so it’s a good thing he’s keeping track of this stuff. After Rollins signs, they start jaw jacking at each other. They don’t end up coming to blows as everything remains under control.
Audrey Marie vs Aksana
Audrey comes out in a cowboy hat, and TECHNO music for her entrance. Kinda like Marcus Cor Von’s music while he was still being the Alpha Male in ECW. Aksana comes out to some James Bond type music. Headlock take over by Audrey Marie. Low hiptoss by Audrey. Hey, she can run the ropes, she already has something over the current WWE Divas Champion. Aksana gets a head scissors but Audrey kicks out. Aksana starts kicking Audrey in the corner. A hair pull down gets a one count. Abdominal stretch by Aksana who does the old school grab the rope. I wonder if she’ll give Audrey the thumb in the bum? Aksana whips her into the corner but Audrey catches her. She hits a spinning heel kick from the second rope, which gets two. Aksana hits a quick small package. Matt Marlaro calls Aksana a veteran. Hilarious. Audrey goes for the round up and Aksana grabs the rope (it was this reverse DDT type move I think). Aksana hits a spinebuster she calls the Diva Drop and picks up the pin.
Winner: Aksana
Aksana throws her to the outside and she drives her back into the apron. She then throws her into the barricade. She then throws her headfirst into the steps, geez. Up next, main event time!
Cameron Lynn aka Ariane Andrews is the ring announcer as they show here there. Man, I hate her. I feel bad for Ivy. Norman comes out and gives a little wiggle, not a big wiggle. Bo is seen backstage with a distraught Aksana and says “it’s your brother”. Whatever that means. She then has this big smirk on her face when he leaves. Bo seems pretty frustrated at the moment, trying to swipe at Leo but missing most of his offense. Short arm clothesline from Bo and gets a one count. Leo is now being beaten pillar to post. Leo pushes him off, lands an elbow, and flapjacks him on the top rope. Quick snap mare, looked like Kruger was going to twist Bo’s neck off. Bo starts fighting back but fails as he was trying to fight off of his knees. European uppercut sends Bo across the ring. Ricardo Rodriquez and Raquel Diaz are seen in their own little VIP area watching the match. Leo trying to twist Bo’s head off with a cravat. Big snap suplex only gets 2. Leo sits Bo on the top rope but he fights back before Leo gets a jumping headbutt to keep him up. Back and forth fighting. Bo goes for a sunset flip but Leo holds on. Leo snaps Bo’s neck across the rope and gets another one count. Leo keeps going back to working on the neck trying to twist it off like a bottle cap. Bo gets shoved into the corner but starts fighting out. Leo does a school boy (that sounded gross) throwing Bo into the second turnbuckle. He keeps beating down Bo until Norman Smiley pulls him off. He starts arguing with him. He turns back around and gets nailed with a spear by Bo. Norman makes a somewhat quick count, and gets the three.
Winner and STILL Florida Heavyweight Champion, Bo Rotundo.
Miss Alicia vs Melina botches the announcement calling Bo STILL the Florida Heavy Champion. She quickly corrects herself, but maybe she’s thinking of Bo’s brother. After looking at the replay, Leo is seen locking in a rear naked choke on Norman Smiley. He’s tapping out but Leo refuses to let go. He gets pulled off by two referees, and Leo looks incredibly frustrated.
